Project settings control how MentionLab monitors your brand. Access them from the Settings icon in the project sidebar.

General settings

Project information

Edit your project’s basic details:
  • Name — The label shown in the project switcher
  • Website — Your brand’s main URL
  • Industry — Your business category
  • Description — Optional context about the project

AI model selection

Choose which AI platforms MentionLab queries for your project. Each selected model adds to your credit cost per execution but gives you broader coverage. Available platforms include ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, DeepSeek, Google AI Overview, and more. Availability may vary by country — see Models Availability.

Iterations

The execution count (iterations) controls how many times each query runs per execution cycle. Higher iteration counts improve data reliability by averaging out randomness in AI responses, but consume more credits.
IterationsUse case
1Quick checks, cost-sensitive projects
3–5Standard monitoring with reasonable accuracy
5–10High-reliability tracking for critical brands

Recurrence schedule

Configure how often MentionLab automatically runs your queries:
ScheduleFrequency
DailyEvery day
WeeklyOnce per week
BiweeklyEvery two weeks
MonthlyOnce per month
ManualOn-demand only (no automatic runs)
You can pause and resume the recurrence schedule at any time. When paused, no automatic executions occur until you resume. The sidebar shows a paused indicator when recurrence is paused.
Pausing recurrence does not affect your existing results. You can resume analysis at any time.

Delete project

You can permanently delete a project from the General settings. This action removes all associated queries, results, and analysis data.
Project deletion is irreversible. Export your data first if you need to preserve it.

Aliases & Competitors

The Aliases tab lets you manage:
  • Brand aliases — Alternative names for your project brand
  • Blacklist aliases — Terms to exclude from brand matching
  • Competitors — Fine-tune auto-detected competitors with aliases, groups, and websites (see Competitors & Brands for details)

Queries

The Queries tab provides full CRUD management for your queries:
  • Add or delete individual queries
  • Bulk-add or bulk-remove tags
  • Import queries from CSV or Excel
  • Export your query list
  • Filter by tag, language, or country
  • Launch a manual analysis
See Queries & Tags for more details.

Tags

The Tags tab lets you create, rename, recolor, or delete query tags. You can also export your tag list and perform bulk deletions.

Response tagging

The Response Tagging tab shows raw AI responses with their assigned response tags. From here you can:
  • Browse full AI responses in markdown format
  • Add or remove response tags from individual or multiple responses
  • Filter responses by existing tags
Response Tags is a separate sub-tab for creating and managing the response tag definitions themselves (name and color).

Jobs

The Jobs tab lists all query execution jobs with their status, query text, language, country, and creation date. Use this to monitor execution progress and troubleshoot issues.
StatusMeaning
ActiveCurrently being processed
EndedCompleted successfully
PendingQueued for execution
InactiveNot scheduled for execution

Export data

The Export Data tab lets you request a complete data export. MentionLab generates CSV files covering queries, brands, sources, and tags, then sends them to your email when ready.

Shopping settings

If your project involves shopping-related queries, additional sub-tabs let you manage:
  • Shopping Brands — Brands detected in shopping responses
  • Shopping Products — Products detected in shopping responses
  • Shopping Products (occurrences) — All product mention instances, including a Low Confidence sub-page for uncertain matches that may need review

Members

The Members tab controls project-level access. See Organization & Billing for details on roles and permissions.
